Video Production in New York City
Motion Mention produces video, photography, and social content across New York City for corporations, government agencies, professional organizations, and brands.
Working in the city is a logistics discipline as much as a creative one. Building access, freight elevator windows, insurance certificates, and street parking shape a shoot day as much as the creative brief does, and we plan for them before a date is confirmed.

Production logistics in the city
Most commercial buildings in Manhattan require advance notice for equipment load-in, a certificate of insurance naming the building, a reserved freight elevator window, and named security clearance for each crew member. Those requirements frequently determine the shoot schedule rather than the other way around.
We confirm access details with your facilities contact during pre-production, plan gear transport around the parking reality of the neighborhood, and build call sheets that reflect the building's rules rather than an idealized timeline.
Where a location proves unworkable, we would rather find that out in scouting than on the morning of the shoot.
New York production questions
- Do you handle permits for filming in New York City?
- For shoots on private property, permits are generally not required, but building and venue requirements are. Where a project involves public property or street filming, we advise on the process during pre-production.
- Can you film in our Manhattan office?
- Yes. Corporate offices are one of the most common environments we work in. We plan around building access, freight elevator rules, and the acoustic conditions of the space.
- Do you also cover New Jersey?
- Yes. We work across both states and regularly run projects that include locations on either side of the Hudson.
